Detailed Description+

Assesses fine motor abilities through static and dynamic tasks for finger, hand and arm movement.
The MLS is a modular test based on Fleishman’s factor analysis of fine motor skills; it assesses six aspects of these skills. Good fine motor skills are needed in many occupations and sports. A nuanced assessment of the various skills is therefore important for suitability assessments in these fields (manufacturing & safety assessments) and for clinical neuropsychological investigations. This test battery yields a wide range of information: accuracy of movement, steadiness/tremor, precision of arm/hand movement, manual dexterity and finger dexterity, speed of arm and hand movements and wrist/finger speed.

Task+

Administration of the MLS requires the MLS Work Panel.
The respondent performs a number of different tasks using the work panel. The tasks may be performed with one or both hands.
